Goosie Cards Developing Young Minds, Creatively™
![]() Goosie Cards® was inspired by my son Zach, then 6 months, after we spent some time looking ![]() I started thinking about the photos on the flash cards and realized that they really didn’t hold any meaning in his life. And that’s when the idea hit me … what if I could teach my son about people and things that were familiar to him with personalized flash cards? ![]() PLAY GROUP MEANS BUSINESS I tested out my concept with my playgroup that consisted of four other moms and toddlers. I created a bunch of cards with photos of all ![]() After researching SBA loans, I realized the best choice for us was to re-finance our home. That was scary, but my husband and I both believed in the company and knew it would be a better investment for us in the future. Goosie LLC continues to take shape and grow rapidly through additional loans on top of the initial investment, for a total of $500,000 year to date. ![]() FILLING SPECIAL NEEDS Since launching Goosie Cards, I have had an overwhelming response from teachers and professionals in regards to how my cards are wonderful teaching tools for children —especially those who have special needs and autism. My hope is that Goosie can provide parents with an improved picture system to communicate with their special-needs children. ![]() The Goosie® brand is built on my philosophy and values as a parent and is proudly made in the USA. My mission is to create lasting bonds between parents and their children through innovation and the magic of discovery ... together. TOY FAIR HOPES This is my first debut at the Toy Fair and I am beyond excited. My hopes are to meet, greet and sign as many large retailers as possible in four days. It’s also a great opportunity to reach a huge number of independent storeowners in a short period of time. I feel proud to be a “mompreneur” who has launched a successful business that is both fun and educational. I continue to build my brand and remain focused on providing fun, quality products to develop young minds, creatively.
